Joseph Strom

Joseph Carlson-Strom

Joseph was born in New York City and has lived in California, Massachusetts, and Montana. Currently, he is receiving his BFA from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, with a concentration in sculpture. Joseph’s academic awards include an Ali Pratt Travel Grant 2016-2017, Presidential Research Grant 2016-2017 and a Mary Baker Emerick Scholarship for the Visual Arts from UM-Western. Joseph is currently an intern at Mountain Time Arts assisting in all aspects of production for their four summers 2017 projects.

Joseph has composed and played music for a number of video installations that have been exhibited in galleries, museums and in public art. His other interests and commitments are volunteer firefighting, martial arts, and social justice concerns including Native-American civil rights and Black Lives Matter.
